This blog started out with me trying to fight (what was diagnosed as) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by having a healthy lifestyle. I also wanted to lessen my carbon footprint in the process. My plan was to chronicle the changes I made in my life to "save myself and the planet" (which was my old title). A few months after I began this blog I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It changed the direction of blog, so I needed to change the title.

More testing
Since I am off the Lamictal I have been having about 1-2 small seizures a week. I do not see it as a big deal, but neurologist does. So I am having another MRI and visit with the NO tomorrow. I thought I had 6 months before I had to go thru this again, but my brain had other ideas. My neuro wanted to continue to change my meds because this new one has not done much to help my seizures and is giving me bad side effects (EXTREME fatigue, loss of memory). Since these episodes are not yet documented seizures I had a choice of going in for an inpatient EEG. I had one of these when I was first diagnosed. You are pretty much stuck in the hospital until you seize. Not how I planned on spending my winter vacation. Of course I am worried that my tumor has grown, but knowing that I just had an MRI when this all started eases some of my worries. I am so focused on having my insurance pay for the EEG and the probability of having a seizure hooked up to the machine. I know there will never be stability in my life when it comes to my health, but I foolishly thought I would have brief periods of stability. This is when I get the most down because most people dont get it. My surgeries are over, my tumor is stable- they think everything is done. K and I know better then that. We see the day-to-day affects that this tumor has on my life. We continue to struggle daily in silence.
