Vacation From My Brain Tumor

I was beginning to focus too much energy on making a decision on surgery. I know this attitude was not helpful last time around, so I am trying to not think about it too much. Of course this is something serious that I need to consider, but until I get more information I am just running in circles. I can feel myself going back and forth about having the surgery like I did last time. Instead I am trying to focus on today not the future. I have this week off in which I am enjoying completely. K and I went to see the Blue Man Group. We went snowboarding, which was amazing. This was only the third time I have gone, but I feel like this time I really got the fundamentals. I actually had fun instead of getting frustrated. I also made more time for yoga, which always helps me feel better emotionally and physically. I think with yoga and snowboarding I was always so focused on what I lost from my surgeries that I worry myself too much to fully enjoy the experiences. I find that my one of the biggest obstacles is not physical as much as it is gaining the confidence that I can still do the things that I did before the surgeries. There are some new physical limitations, but once I get over the psychological issues I can work on the physical. I smiled so much this week and that is all that really matters.
