| Going stir crazy ;) |
It is officially day 6 in the hospital. I cannot believe how stubborn my brain is being! I am completely off all medication and I have not had any seizures "big enough" to show up on the EEG. I am starting to wonder (and hope) that my more severe seizures stopped as a result of the second surgery. Maybe the last four complex partials were ONLY due to the Lamictal. I did two nights of sleep deprivation, three rounds of strobe lights, and three rounds of forced hyperventilation. I am so nervous that I am going to have a seizure the moment I get home from the hospital. Yet I am still trying to remain hopeful that I am not having a larger seizure because I won't have them any more (or as often). I hope I am not holding on to false hope. At this point I would do anything for a shower, good food, and some natural sunshine on my face. In the mean time I wait and try to remain positive. I find it odd that my first 6 month stretch of monitoring my tumor resulted in one extra MRI, two week long hospital stays with VEEGs, a WADA test and six hour neuropsych testing. It does not seem that this is what "post-treatment" should be like, but I never was one to follow the norm ;)

Well you've been through alot haven't you! Hang in there girl you have an amazing story that inspires me. I often ask myself what is the norm with cancer? I just don't think there is such a thing.
Have you tried doing something that makes you anxious (or more anxious than what you are already doing)? Anxiety always gets me.
