This blog started out with me trying to fight (what was diagnosed as) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by having a healthy lifestyle. I also wanted to lessen my carbon footprint in the process. My plan was to chronicle the changes I made in my life to "save myself and the planet" (which was my old title). A few months after I began this blog I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It changed the direction of blog, so I needed to change the title.

Decision making progress
Of course since my neuro visit on Thursday I have been thinking nonstop about the possibility of another surgery. I even made a pro-con list. Somehow the list is even, doesn't it always work out like that? I am still floored that I came up with 7 reasons to have brain surgery, haha. But I have made some headway with deciding what to do next. I am going to give this medication change a chance, but if I start to have breakthrough seizures I will go in for another VEEG. I know that it will be difficult and I cannot even imagine doing another one. I will ask that I am taken off my medications quickly to speed things up. Then if I have a seizure that shows up on the EEG and is similar to what I have been having I will put more serious thought into having another surgery. If nothing shows up I will try to not think about surgery. I know this is a reasonable plan, but it still will be difficult for me to not second guess it every day, several times a day. Right now I am going to try to not drive myself crazy and stick to my mini-plan.

Hi Jaime,
I hope your mini-plan is going well. Sending (((hugs))) from South Australia where it's currently cold and raining. I hope it's warm and sunny in Bronx (I probably should say "The Bronx" or is that another Bronx ?).
Cheers and best wishes,
Ed.
Thanks! The mini-plan is going surprisingly well. Still constant medicine changes, but I am not focusing on surgery. The Bronx (yes the same one) is having a horrible heat wave with temperatures around 95-100 degrees Fahrenheit. So I would gladly switch weather.
