This blog started out with me trying to fight (what was diagnosed as) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by having a healthy lifestyle. I also wanted to lessen my carbon footprint in the process. My plan was to chronicle the changes I made in my life to "save myself and the planet" (which was my old title). A few months after I began this blog I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It changed the direction of blog, so I needed to change the title.

Two Year Tumorversary
I cannot believe 2 years have passed since I received those horrid MRI results. Thinking back to that day it feels like such a long time ago. But I still cannot believe that I have been dealing with all this crap for two years. It is sad that not even a day goes by where I do not have to deal with side effects from the tumor, surgeries, medications, etc. I was hoping that one day I would not have this brain tumor on my mind (figuratively or literally). I feel like I should be "passed it." But I do not see how that is possible if I still need to deal with it daily. I try to not let it consume my life. I can honestly say that I have done a lot of living these past two years. It is nice to know that thinking about and dealing with this tumor has not prevented me from doing what I want. Of course my goals and hopes have drastically changed from October 28, 2008, but I am able to make new ones. Overall I feel good today- Good about where I am going and where I have been. I still struggle with fear, pain, and worries but I try to keep my head up. I am grateful for the great people that stayed and came into my life these two years.
