Yesterday I went for a massage and reiki session. I also have been working on visualization exercises. After all that I was officially ready for my surgery. I was getting a bit impatient waiting.
Today at 1pm my surgeon called to tell me the surgery has been cancelled. I had to take a special MRI last week to show my where my vision fibers are, so he can go around them. It showed that the tumor is on the optic track and the team decided it is not worth doing the surgery. They said since they got most of the tumor out and it is so slow growing it is not worth losing my vision to get the rest out. Now I will go back to watch-and-wait protocol. I am relieved that I dont have a surgery tomorrow, but I am fearful of what will happen next. I guess I will know more after my NO appointment. I have such mixed feelings. Everyone I told asked me the same question "Is it a good thing." Right now I do not know how to answer that.
